Lemons & Sevens is the brand I created to blog about gaming, gambling and casinos. The gaming industry is notorious for using spammy, low-value websites and content, so I set about creating a website that was genuinely useful to those who want to learn how to play casino games.
My plan was to show that high-quality content alone is able to sustain the SEO performance of a website. I created lemonsandsevens.com on Squarespace, without the help of a technical SEO engineer or even a web developer. Following SEO Content best practices, I was able to grow the organic traffic of Lemons & Sevens to 4k monthly users.
The website’s best content still performs well to this day, despite a bare-bones publishing schedule.
